Mitas is proud to announce the introduction of PFO (Pressure Field Operation) technology in its HC2000 VF tire range designed for high-horsepower tractors, fast moving tractors, sprayers and spreaders. The introduction of the PFO technology, which significantly enhances tire performance in the field, is an important milestone for Mitas, reinforcing its commitment to providing effective, reliable and best in class solutions for the agricultural industry.

PFO technology is designed to enhance performance during demanding field operations by allowing the tire to carry heavier loads than VF tires at same low pressures. This results in a larger tire footprint that improves flotation and reduces soil compaction. By working at reduced tire pressures, the HC2000 tires with PFO technology ensure that the same load is carried while minimizing damage to the soil structure. This helps preserve the long-term health of the land, boosting agricultural sustainability and improving soil quality for future crops. In comparison to standard tires, the benefits of PFO technology are even more significant, as it reduces tire pressure without compromising load capacity, ensuring superior performance in tough conditions.

The advantages of PFO technology extend beyond increasing load capacity. It enables farmers to achieve better efficiency and traction in challenging conditions, particularly at low working speeds (5-15 km/h), where high torque and heavy loads are common.
By incorporating this technology into its tires, Mitas continues to follow its customer-focused approach, prioritizing the support and needs of agricultural professionals.

“We are thrilled to bring PFO technology to our HC2000 tire range,” said Roberta D’Agnano, Global Brand Director Mitas at Yokohama TWS. “This development highlights our dedication to providing effective solutions delivering high performance, positioning Mitas as a trusted partner for the daily challenges”.

The Mitas HC2000 with PFO technology are available in the VF 600/70R30 PFO and VF 710/70R42 PFO sizes, with additional sizes to follow later in the year.
